Staff from McCarthy & Stone embraced World Book Day this year by dressing up as well-loved book characters to raise money for Coram Beanstalk. Staff came to work dressed as classic book characters such as Snow White, Mary Poppins and others including Harry Potter, Spiderman and even a Horrible Histories-inspired group of costumes!

With regional teams taking part across the country the final tally amounted to over £2,500, raised in just one day - an incredible amount which will help transform the lives of many children facing challenges with their reading.

McCarthy & Stone tweeted photos throughout World Book Day and gave recognition to the best dressed!

Thank you to all the staff who took part in this fantastic fundraising activity and for your continued support this year!

McCarthy & Stone is the leading developer of retirement communities and has chosen Coram beanstalk as its charity of the year to help improve the outcomes for children who struggle with reading while promoting the wellbeing benefits of intergenerational volunteering.
