We're really proud of the difference we make to children, the training we deliver and the support we provide to schools and volunteers. This is a whole team effort and wouldn't be possible without the help of our brilliant volunteers who we learn from everyday.

Here's a selection of feedback received this term.

From the children

B

Back in September one of the Year One's I started supporting told me he "didn't like reading and books".  Fast forward 9 months and each week, he beams and asks "Is it my turn yet?"

From our schools

B

"We very much value our relationship with Coram Beanstalk. The reading volunteers are brilliant. They build really positive relationships with pupils. They have time for pupils in a way that teachers and teaching assistants don't."

From our Reading Leaders

B

"I was able to connect with the younger years which is something I'm not used to. I only ever speak to adults or people in my year. It was so fun since the year 7's I got were talkative with each other. It was nice to know that I helped them with their self confidence."

From our volunteers

B

"The volunteer portal is invaluable and opportunities to do online training really help me feel supported and linked to the organisation. The advice and resources are great and help both in trouble shooting any issues I come across and in offering new ideas to engage the children. Keep the games and fresh ideas coming please!"
