Coram Beanstalk, along with Chapter One and Give a Book, has been instrumental in the formation of The Literacy Link which formally launches on 15 April 2025.

This active network aims to improve collaboration, knowledge sharing and impact for charities involved in supporting children’s reading. The network now has 12 active steering member organisations and is formally launching at an event on 15 April hosted by The Mercer's Company and supported by The Fair Education Alliance Literacy Working Group.

To date 42 organisations have joined and will be represented by 70 people at the launch event. With children's reading enjoyment at an all time low, the network will connect like-minded organisations to support, collaborate and inspire children's reading engagement. Using the power of their collective voice, expertise and experience to create lasting impact.

The event will include a keynote speech from Chris Wright, founder of Catch 22 and workshops on evidencing impact, fundraising and working with schools.

I have already met some brilliant people during the planning of the event and am looking forward to working collaboratively within the network to help more children become readers. We have a shared duty to overcome barriers and work as effectively as possible to make this happen.
