Beanstalk is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted for a National Fundraising Award. Shortlisted for the ‘Fundraising Charity of the Year – Small’ category, the prestigious accolade recognises organisations that have achieved considerable and recognisable fundraising success through the use of team work, with a total annual income of less than £5 million.

Ginny Lunn, Chief Executive for Beanstalk, said:

“We are incredibly proud to have been shortlisted for a National Fundraising Award. In 2017, Beanstalk recorded its most successful fundraising year in over 40 years of delivering its services, which means that thousands more children will benefit from the one-to-one reading support our trained volunteers deliver across England. It’s great to see so many deserving organisations and worthy projects shortlisted and we are proud to be named among them!”

Beanstalk’s fundraising achievements include securing the charity’s first ever million pound grant by winning the People’s Postcode Lottery’s Dream Fund in January 2017. Led by the fundraising team this has been a major collaboration with LuCiD and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to deliver a game-changing programme called ‘Story Starters’ to address the issues of poor literacy at an early age. Over two years the funds delivers support to 1,800 children and includes a Randomised Control Trial to show robust evidence of our impact for the first time.

The winners of the National Fundraising Awards will be announced on the evening of 2 July 2018 at The Brewery in London.
