This month we are celebrating the brilliant, brand-new World Book Day books for 2026! 

World Book Day is a charity funded by publishers & booksellers in the UK & Ireland with a mission is to give every child and young person a book of their own. Each year, they work with publishers to create a selection of £1/€1.50 books that appeal to a wide range of children. These are available for free, in exchange for a World Book Day book token which are usually distributed via schools.

The World Book Day books are always a wonderful selection of different genres and styles, designed for different age groups and written by a diverse range of authors. There are books to appeal to all different interests but for our Beanstalk Brilliant Book of the Month, we've chosen Funny Factopia. It's perfect for inspiring book chat and finding out funny new facts to make you smile!

At Coram Beanstalk we want every child to get the very most out of whichever book they choose and we're delighted that the team at World Book Day have asked us once again to contribute our very special Beanstalk activities to the sheets which accompany each book which you'll find here. 

With our help, even children who aren't very keen on books will have a reason to want to open theirs!
