Jemma Hatt writes stories for the young and the young at heart.

Over the years she has lived and worked in London, Exeter, New York and Delaware, and is now living close to where she grew up in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Jemma is best known for The Adventurers Series, featuring a group of children and their Border collie as they travel everywhere from Cornwall to Cairo in search of treasure, adventure and fun. The series has been translated into Estonian, Finnish and Polish to date, and won the inaugural Children's Selfies Award in 2020.

In 2021 her first non-Adventurers book, The Treasure of Tea Towers, was published by Klett Sprachen in Germany.

Reading has always been one of my favourite things to do; during reading hour at primary school I would become so absorbed in imaginary worlds that at the end my name would have to be called several times before I'd notice! One teacher even arranged a hearing test for me! (My hearing was fine - my listening skills, not so much!)

A good book becomes like an old friend, being revisited again and again. I hope to entertain young readers with adventures and laughs to enjoy alongside the characters.
