Engaging children

We appreciate that not every child finds reading a fun and engaging activity, so we have created tips, advice and guidance on how to turn reluctant readers into passionate bookworms.

At Coram Beanstalk we want every child to be able to read in a fun and confident manner. But we know that engaging reluctant and struggling readers is tricky, so we've created some guidance to make it easier for you.

If you have any more great tips on how to engage reluctant and struggling readers, then speak to us as we'd love to hear them. Or why not put your tips into action by becoming a Coram Beanstalk reading reading helper?

Coram Beanstalk and Very.co.uk World Book Day competition to win bundles of arts & crafts materials from Crayola!

Coram Beanstalk and Very.co.uk are asking children to cheer up their neighbours on World Book Day!  Rather than asking them to dress up as their favourite character on March 4th, as they might have done at school or nursery, we're asking children to dress up the windows of their house or flat instead, by drawing pictures of their favourite book characters, entering them into our World Book Day competition and then displaying them in their windows.
