Nominations are now open for the 2019 Kent Literacy Awards which we are so thrilled to once again be supporting for a third consecutive year.

It’s an incredibly inspiring awards initiative organised by the KM Charity Team which promotes the sharing of best practice, so educators can learn about innovative and effective approaches to improving literacy in schools, and to help raise standards and performance across the county and beyond.

The nomination process will close on May 1, and the awards will be presented at a ceremony at Hempstead House in Sittingbourne in July. The awards are for primary and secondary schools in Kent, Medway, Bromley and Bexley, and recognise initiatives that develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

Nominations are accepted from teachers, support staff and management and we really encourage all Kent and Medway schools to enter with details of inspiring projects which showcase new and innovative approaches to teaching reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
