About the role 

Location: Covering Midlands and East of England - This role includes regional travel, so you must have a car/consistent public transport. The ideal candidate will be located for travel from in or around Milton Keynes.

Hours: 21 hours per week, flexible working pattern to deliver proposed 2 x training courses per week (with associated travel) patter may vary depending on business needs

Salary: £22,000 per annum pro rata

Proposed start date: Nov / Dec 2017

Beanstalk Trainers are responsible for the delivery of high quality training to groups of new volunteers, for all programmes within our current portfolio of services.

Trainers follow the approved Beanstalk approach, meeting agreed quality standards, to deliver the engaging and consistent training that ensures every new volunteer feels equally inspired and equipped to begin their role and welcomed into the Beanstalk community. 

We are looking for a trainer to cover the Midlands and East of England who is experienced in delivering courses / modules to face-to-face to groups of 10 or more. 

You will be an excellent communicator who is confident to present and facilitate interactive group discussions. You will have a creative and innovative approach to delivery, ensuring the style is adapted to meet the needs of the learner. 

This role is responsible for coordinating and arranging the session; delivering the content in line with the agreed organisational model/standards and providing relevant feedback/ sharing best practice with the wider training team and manager. 

Essential

  • Experience of delivering facilitated discussion and activities as well as presented content
  • Credible and inspiring presentation skills: structuring and communicating ideas, using visual aids, time management
  • Collaborative facilitation skills: managing activities, eliciting contributions
  • Purposeful communication skills: listening, questioning, explaining, and giving feedback.
  • Confident inter-personal skills: supporting learning, challenging behaviours, assessing competence, handling conflict.
  • Resourceful trouble-shooting skills - working around operational difficulties.
  • Able to actively use and engage with a range of IT platforms; including Microsoft Office, Skype and CRM systems
  • Passionate about literacy and reading

Training Qualifications would also be a distinct advantage.
