Hours: 21 hours per week, ideally Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9am to 5pm (some flexibility available) 

Salary: £18,000 per annum pro rata based on £9.89 per hour

Contract: Until 31st January 2018

Proposed start date: ASAP

Office: This role is based at our central office located just 2 minutes’ walk from Barbican underground station. You may on occasion be required to travel to other Beanstalk offices.

The Beanstalk Shared Administrator will work alongside and as part of a wider administrative support team.

We are looking for an experienced administrator who is organised and IT literate to be the first point of contact for volunteers and undertake administrative tasks. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential. 

This a very varied role so it is essential you are able to prioritise your time to manage several tasks and maintain orderly systems.


Day to day tasks include;

  • Processing volunteer applications and arranging interviews
  • Dealing with telephone enquiries and email enquiries from volunteers and schools
  • Ownership of the volunteer database, maintaining an active and accurate pipeline
  • Coordinating interviews and assisting with organising training
  • Producing letters, notices, invoices and reports as required
  • Reference requests, DBS processing and room bookings
