Help us create readers

Coram Beanstalk is a national children's reading charity with over 50 years' experience in creating readers through our one-to-one, in-person reading support. We know, and evidence shows that when children not only can read but choose to read, it has an impact on how well they do at school, how they feel about themselves and leads to better life chances.  

To become a reader, children need to spend time sharing and talking about lots of different books and have fun exploring them with someone who gives them dedicated attention - and that's what our trained reading helpers do.

We share our knowledge through training and supporting community volunteers, parents and older students, giving them the skills to enable children to become confident readers for life but we need your help!
