Beanstalk’s service is simple yet highly effective. We recruit, train and support volunteers to provide consistent, one-to-one literacy support to nursery and primary school children who need our help. Our trained reading helpers give them the support they need to improve their reading ability and confidence.

About the Project Office Team 

Beanstalk’s Project Office Team;

  • is responsible for the planning and implementation of Beanstalks 2020 Vision Programme - to budget and within agreed timescales. 
  • is responsible for the administrative governance of Beanstalk and the smooth running of Beanstalk’s central office.
  • will drive and role-model new ways of working to achieve our Vision.
  • manage and drive specific projects as required to deliver Beanstalks Vison.

About the Role 

Location: Barbican, London 

Hours: 35 hours per week, 9am to 5pm 

Salary: £32,000 per annum 

Proposed start date: Feb / March 2018

Reporting directly into the CEO, you will head up the Project Office team and with the support of the Project Office Assistant implement the 2020 Vision.

Bringing Project Management experience to this role is essential as you will be ensuring the implementation plan is actualised; maintained; monitored against KPI's and communicated effectively across the organisation. It is essential you are a confident and clear communicator to capably direct project leaders and work with external stakeholders.

This role is also key in supporting organisational business planning and providing monthly management and progress reports to Senior Management and the Board. You will attend all key meetings so confidentiality and professionalism are a must. 

A multi-faceted role, you will be also be able to ensure the effective running of our central office and lead on a space planning project, which will include the planning and management of a move to new premises in January 2019. 

This position has great exposure and is an ideal opportunity to play a key part in developing our growing organisation alongside passionate and inspiring colleagues.

  • Experience of project/ programme management
  • Experience of office management/ coordination or appropriate transferable skills 
  • Experience of event management /coordination
  • Experience of administrative support to Boards and Senior Management
  • Dynamic, creative, confident and articulate
  • Collaborative, practical and organised 
  • Strategic thinker – able to turn vision into reality
