Joseph Hopkins is an author illustrator living in Kent in the South East of England. Alongside his work as an author illustrator, he also works in a special needs school for children with learning disabilities.

His first published book Lydia Greenfingers is an intriguing rhyming children story about a little girl who faces many challenges. His second book which he also illustrated is called Dorothy May. Dorothy is a dark children's rhyming story about a little girl who is made to dance in a show to the benefit of the sinister Raven. A wonderful tale that has a lovely resolution. Joseph has a wonderful family and they all live on a farm with their pet cat called Elvis and pet pig called Percy. He loves writing books and illustrating stories for other authors.

I am relatively new to joining the Coram Beanstalk family but I have heard very special things about the charity. Being a teacher alongside my author illustrator roles I know the work that they do with children is invaluable in so many schools and I am so excited to collaborate with them in the coming months. Reading is a fundamental skill and if I can in anyway help, inspire or engage children in reading and writing by working with Coram Beanstalk then it will be truly magical.
