About the role

Salary: FTE £42k per annum (£33,600 actual) 

Hours: 28 hours per week

Working Pattern: Over 4 or 5 days  (flexible in agreement with line manager) 

Location: Barbican, London with some regional travel required 

Proposed start date: December 2017 / January 2018 

Beanstalk‘s IT department provides support to computer users in the company including installing new software and hardware, patching IT equipment, troubleshooting problems and training employees how to use new software programs. The IT Manager leads on the development and implementation of Beanstalk’s IT strategy to enhance Beanstalk’s IT capabilities and manage significant projects.

Currently, the IT Manager is leading on developing a new intranet site for national use; developing a CRM and working towards combining on-premises and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will be able to come on board and progress these projects and drive user adoption. They will also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; be able to handle complex information and be a confident decision-maker.

Key responsibilities

  • Project management - define and deliver IT projects
  • IT training in association with the People Team 
  • Cyber security with GDPR compliance
  • Line management of IT Officer to ensure efficiency of IT help desk 
  • Recommend technology solutions 
  • Champion Beanstalk's IT strategy 


  • Extensive experience in information technology management; excellent knowledge of IT and ability to support non-technical users.
  • Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and server technology, including hybrid solutions.
  • Significant experience of implementing new IT initiatives and maintaining IT solutions
  • Experience with Office 365 inc; Skype for Business, Exchange, GDPR Security & Compliance, One Drive for Business and SharePoint development/automation. 
  • Experience with Azure and system integration and knowledge of networking concepts


  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience of mobile integration
