We are delighted that a fundraising campaign called "Closing the Covid Gap" set up by Rosemarie Ghazaros has secured an exclusive online screening of 'H is for Harry' in aid of Coram Beanstalk, Action Tutoring and Think Forward.

The film follows Harry, an enigmatic 11 year old as he arrives at a mainstream secondary school in London without the necessary reading and writing skills to cope with the curriculum.

With the help of Sophie, an extremely dedicated teacher, can Harry overcome his illiteracy and years of feeling excluded from learning and opportunity? His fight to improve academically and overturn the illiteracy in his family is a moving story, and shows the challenges some young people and their teachers face in Britain today, perhaps more so than ever following the closure of schools from March 2020 until now.

Join us to watch it, one night only, on Thurs 17th September.

After the film, join Roz Pedder, a secondary school teacher, and a Zoom panel with co-director Edward Owles, Angela Fuggle, Head of Programmes at Coram Beanstalk and a representatives from the charity Think Forward.
