Approximately 1 in 4 primary school children leave school unable to read at the expected level.1

These children risk an uncertain future and the long-term effects of poor literacy can be devastating. Their wellbeing, confidence and self-esteem are impacted, their opportunities in education are severely diminished and their job prospects are negatively affected.

You can rewrite this story and ensure children have the gift of reading by donating to Coram Beanstalk. By encouraging children to read for pleasure we can greatly improve their wellbeing and life chances. Over the last 50 years, we have supported over 250,000 children to find the joy in reading.

We need your help to urgently reach the many more who are falling behind.
