Beanstalk is a children's literacy charity that recruits, trains and supports volunteers to give one-to-one support to children struggling with their reading.

Our friendly and dedicated team in our London North East team supports over 200 reading helpers across the area, enabling them to help more children discover the magic of reading.

Where do we work?

Beanstalk currently works in schools in the following boroughs:

  • Barking and Dagenham
  • Camden
  • Hackney
  • Islington
  • Newham
