About the role 

Hours: 21 hours per week (over 3 days minimum)

Salary: £17,000 per annum pro rata (actual £10,200) 

Proposed start date: Sept/Oct 2017

Location: Covering Norfolk, Suffolk & surrounding. This role will involve some home-working + being out and about across the areas so use of a car is essential. 

Beanstalk Coordinators are the local face of Beanstalk; responsible for ensuring and maintaining a positive relationship between Beanstalk, volunteers and schools in the local community.

We are looking for a self-starter who is committed to engaging our volunteers and educational settings to ensure they get the most out of their Beanstalk experience.

This role is responsible for the interviewing; checking and ongoing support of our Volunteers whilst also providing start up and ongoing support for educational settings.

The Coordinator will support awareness raising activity in their locality using marketing materials, attending events and passing on useful information to the marketing and communications team.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in volunteer co-ordination.


  • Knowledge of community engagement and relationship management.
  • Proven experience in delivering high level customer service
  • Ability to represent an organisation at different levels for different audiences
  • Demonstrable experience of working to objectives, targets and deadlines
  • External communication & presentation skills
  • Passionate about literacy and reading
  • Efficient diary management, the ability to work to tight deadlines and to perform well under pressure
  • Ability to implement safeguarding, child protection and good practice
