Beanstalk Coordinator | London North East Key Information Hours: 35 hours per week Salary: £19,000 (based on £10.44 per hour) Proposed start date: February 2018 Location: North East London and surrounding. This role will involve being out and about across the areas so access to public transport or use of a car is essential. About the role Beanstalk Coordinators are the local face of Beanstalk; responsible for ensuring and maintaining a positive relationship between Beanstalk, volunteers and schools in the local community. We are looking for a self-starter who is passionate about helping our volunteers to inspire and motivate children who are struggling with their reading and who are encouraging them to develop a love of books and stories. The right person will be confident talking to leaders in educational settings to help them get the best experience of the Beanstalk programmes. The post holder is responsible for the placement of volunteers in education settings, checking progress and providing ongoing support. The coordinator will support awareness raising activity in their local area, attend events and promote the benefits of supporting Beanstalk. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in volunteer co-ordination or similar, be interested in education, and confident in managing external relationships.
