It may take up to 15 minutes to complete the online application form. Please note that you won't be able to save the form and you will need to provide details of two referees. (References will only be taken up after interview.) If you have any problems you can download the application form and self disclosure form and fill them out by hand. You can also call your local area office to request them by post. Successful applicants will be required to obtain a DBS disclosure at the appropriate level.

How to apply to become a Beanstalk reading helper

Beanstalk is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and requires all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

If you have a disability or health-related issue that may affect your volunteering with us, please contact us on 020 7729 4087 to discuss before starting to complete your form. Also contact us if you have any convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings which would not be filtered in line with current guidance.

To become a Beanstalk reading helper, you must be able to answer "yes" to the following questions, except the two year residency question. Please be advised that you may be required to obtain a Letter of Good Conduct from any country which you have resided in for six months or more during the past five years.
